Research checked: 21 October 2026. This is a shopping watchlist, not a list of confirmed Black Friday 2026 deals.

New basketball gear is fun to look at. Choosing which thing you will actually use is the harder bit, especially when every second page has a sale banner.
For Black Friday, I would start with a short list: a ball in the right size, shoes that fit, or the hoop you have already worked out will suit your place. Then compare prices on those exact items. You do not need a whole new setup just because a sale is coming.
When is Black Friday in Australia in 2026?
Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November 2026, followed by Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November. These dates are listed in the Australian Government’s 2026 sales calendar. Each shop sets its own sale dates, so check the actual offer rather than assuming it runs all weekend.
At the time of checking, I could not confirm a Black Friday 2026 basketball offer from the retailer pages below. Some already have Black Friday pages online, but that does not make the discounts on them this year’s deals.
Australian shops worth keeping on your list
rebel: compare the whole kit
Use rebel’s sales and offers page as a starting point for balls, hoops, shoes and smaller bits of gear. It is a general offers page, not confirmation of a particular 2026 Black Friday discount. Check whether the price needs a membership and whether your local store has the exact item for collection.
Spalding Australia: balls, hoops and accessories
The Spalding Black Friday page is worth bookmarking. When checked, it listed products and sale labels without establishing a dated 2026 offer. Do not assume every product on the page is reduced. If you are comparing hoops, make sure the model, backboard size and material all match.
Nike Australia: shoes and training gear
The Nike Australia Black Friday page said its promotion had ended when checked. That is not a live 2026 Black Friday offer, even though discounted products are still displayed. If shoes are on your list, compare the exact size and colour you need, not just the cheapest price shown for the model.
adidas Australia: another shoe and clothing comparison
The main adidas Australia Black Friday page talks about upcoming offers, but did not confirm specific 2026 basketball discounts when checked. Keep it as a place to compare rather than a reason to buy now. An older colour could suit you just as well if the shoe itself is right.
Foot Locker Australia: check performance basketball shoes
Foot Locker Australia’s Black Friday page displayed offers without clearly dated 2026 campaign terms when checked. Treat it as a watch page. For playing, look in the performance basketball range rather than assuming every basketball-inspired sneaker is made for court use.
What I would check before buying
Basketballs: size and surface first
A cheaper ball is only useful if it suits the player and where they play. Check the size your competition or program uses and the manufacturer’s indoor or outdoor rating. Start with our basketball size guide, then use our Australian basketball guide to narrow the options.
Hoops: get the full cost before getting excited
Measure your space, check the minimum ring height and read the setup instructions before choosing a hoop. Add delivery, assembly and any required base-filling materials to the price. Our portable basketball hoop comparison gives you a few starting points.
A price to compare later: the Under Armour 54-inch Heat Check hoop, product code 70415901, was listed at A$899 at rebel on 21 October 2026. This is a product-page price, not a delivered quote or a confirmed Black Friday deal. It was marked as bulky; delivery cost and availability need checking for your postcode. One price check also does not tell us its lowest-ever price.
Shoes: do not settle for the wrong fit
Check the sizing system, try the shoes on if you can, and read the change-of-mind return conditions before paying. Look for the return window, any sale exclusions, the required condition and who pays return postage. A big discount on a pair that does not fit is not much help at training.
Pumps, socks and bags: fill a gap
A pump or spare needle might be more useful than another piece of clothing. Check what you already own and what comes in the box. Our basketball pump comparison covers options with and without pressure gauges. Include postage when comparing small purchases, and do not add things you do not need just to reach a delivery threshold.
Make a five-minute watchlist now
- Write down the exact model, size and colour you want.
- Save today’s price, the date and the retailer link. A screenshot helps you compare later.
- Set a maximum total including delivery and any necessary extras.
- Compare the same item at another Australian retailer. Use your recorded prices as well as any advertised saving.
- Check stock, delivery timing and return conditions before buying.
A crossed-out price alone does not tell you whether an offer is better than last month’s price. If your current gear still does the job, keeping it is a perfectly good option. The aim is to spend less on something you need and get back to playing.
